Writer / Director
Pepijn Tebrunsvelt
Pepijn Tebrunsvelt is an allround filmmaker, but predominantly works as writer & director. Music plays a big part in the creation of his stories, using it to spark new ideas and bring his characters to life.
His love for moviemaking drove him to pick up skills in many aspects of the filmmaking process, from storyboarding, editing and visual effects to building props in his workshop. He believes that taking care of as much of the process "in-house" as possible gives the finished work its own unique signature. He has always been drawn to the power of film to move people and reveal deep truths about our inner selves.
Niels Peetjens
COMPOSER / DESIGNER
Niels Peetjens excels in multiple areas of filmmaking. As a composer, he's known for his ability to create smooth and flowing music that has a rich, nostalgic quality. This talent translates well into his work as a director of photography, where he uses framing and lighting to give our films a warm, intimate touch. And as a graphic designer, he's responsible for our logo, title design, and webdesign, ensuring that our visual identity is cohesive and effective.
We value Niels' unique skills and perspective, and we're grateful to have him on our team. His passion for storytelling and his dedication to creating high-quality content are invaluable assets to our work.
Color artist / Manager
Mick Gooren
Mick Gooren is a dedicated member of the Studio Gotley team. As the head of our camera department and a skilled color grader, he's always striving to create the most beautiful visuals possible. He's the practical muscle behind our productions, ensuring that everything runs smoothly and stays on schedule.
On set, Mick is known for his realistic approach and his focus on getting the job done well. He's a hard worker and a team player, always putting in the extra effort to bring our films to life. In the color grading suite, he's committed to creating that magic, film-like image that makes our work stand out.
About Us
Our Roots
Our studio comes from humble beginnings. The three of us met at film school, where we became good friends. We then quickly realized that our talents and interests were complementary and well-suited for working together. Niels was drawn to cinematography and acting, while Mick was driven by his passion for the practical aspects of moviemaking. Pepijn, was passionate about writing and directing. He had all kinds of ambitious plans for making it big as narrative filmmakers. Thinking big, albeit somewhat naive at times, he felt that the industry lacked a down-to-earth, hands-on approach to filmmaking. The others agreed.
Over time, we've grown into a successful film studio that's known for those same values and commitment to delivering high-quality, impactful stories.
The Start
WAY BACK to
Our lucky break came when we were offered the opportunity to intern at an old industrial complex that was being converted into a cultural hub for teaching artistic crafts. As first year students, we were eager to learn and excited to be part of such a creative environment.
As we explored the old factory and got to know the people working there, we were struck by the sense of community and collaboration. Everyone from, artists to entrepreneurs, was working together to make the complex a success.
It was in this environment that we honed our filmmaking skills and had a lot of fun. One day, while exploring the factory, we stumbled upon an old, unused space buried deep in an industrial tower. We asked the owner of the complex if we could use this space as our office, and to our surprise, he agreed.
This gesture was a huge turning point for us. It provided us with a physical space to call our own and helped us establish our film studio. It's moments like these that can make all the difference for young artists and entrepreneurs.
